Who is the lizard on the wall?
Lizard on the Wall, my art and photography studio in Singapore, has been a passion for me for the past seven years. I toiled as an expatriate lawyer in London and then Singapore for several years before chucking in my swipe card for nappy wipes and raising my three gorgeous children. My business, Lizard on the Wall, emerged to occupy my time, with saner, more family-friendly hours! I create art in a wide range of mediums, and styles (it’s a Gemini thing)- photography, acrylics, watercolour- and I believe I am the only artist in Singapore who does work with encaustic/wax. My inspiration comes from two distinct sources- where I came from, and where I have been during the greater part of my adult life. New Zealand, my home country, is truly a nature lover’s paradise, and its rugged landscapes and beautiful flora have been the touchstone for many of my photos and my wax paintings. I also love to travel in Asia, and this is where I find delight in local scenes, from the ramshackle shophouse
