Who is the IUPUI Office of External Affairs?
The Office of External Affairs of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) manages city, state and federal government relations; community outreach special events that build relationships and increase awareness among Indianapolis residents about IUPUI; the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and its Division 1 sports programs; Alumni Relations which enables more than 100,000 former IUPUI students to remain involved with the campus; and marketing and media relations which communicates the accomplishments of students, staff and faculty to the public through publications, advertisements, newspaper, radio, television reports and the world-wide web. The Alumni Office has administered the program since its inception in 1992. In 2004 the program was transitioned to the Office of Community Outreach where it will remain an essential program within the Office of External Affairs.
