Who is the Inspector General?
The first Inspector General was Robin J. Kempf. She was appointed by the KHPA Board in September 2007, and was subsequently approved for confirmation by the Senate Confirmation Oversight Committee in October of the same year. Ms. Kempf resigned this position effective October 31, 2008. The Board will be pursuing candidates for the position.
The Office of Inspector General is under the direction of Nick Kramer. Nick was hired as Inspector General in October 2009 after serving 25 years as the Internal Audit manager for the Kansas Department of Revenue. In previous roles, he conducted financial and performance audits for the Legislative Division of Post Audit and worked as a staff auditor for Touche Ross & Co. Nick’s professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor.
