Who is the head of the government in China?
The most political power in the People’s Republic of China communist government belongs to the General Secretary of the Party. This position is usually commonly shared by the President, who leads the executive branch of the Chinese government. The next few positions are occupied by different chairmen of boards such as the Central Military Commission and the National People’s Congress. The next highest ranking official is the Premier, or “Prime Minister” and he is the Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and the head of Central People’s Government. The Premier and President are debated to which one holds more power in the executive office, but he and the President share many powers. The Premier is usually responsible for all the small details in the government while the President controls political and some military aspects. The next few spots in the ranks of political power are held by other various chairmen, the Vice President, and Vice Premiers.
