Who is the greatest middleweight boxer ever?
Sugar Ray Robinson is still the greatest Middleweight of all time. There is certainly a wider gap between Robinson at 147 and his Peers and Robinson, 160 and his peers there. Carlos Monzon is high on my list because he simply has a style that’s hard to beat. I think he edges Marvin Hagler if Hagler can’t turn it into a war. Ketchel and Greb would both give Monzon nightmares where Hagler would chop both of them up. Monzon also edges Lamotta and Zale where Hagler would beat both more decisively. ROBINSON JONES In all honestly, I think Roy Jones would beat ALL of them except Robinson. I also think Bernard Hopkins would be high on the list. He’s just a very difficult fighter. He can make anyone look bad. Bernard might even be better at 168-175. Leonard, with his gift decision over Hagler, doesn’t even make the TOP 10 at 160. He would not have beaten a prime Hagler using the TRADITIONAL rules. Everyone loves to tell how great Burley was but the truth is, though I believe he was great too, i
