The first batsman to score a trip,le century in test cricket was Andy Sandham of England. He scored 325 runs against West Indies in the 4th Test of 1929/1930 season played at Sabin Park, Kingston, Jamaica from 3rd to 12th April 1930. He stayed at the wicket for 600 minutes, faced 640 balls and hit 28 fours.
