Who is the enforcing authority for contaminated land?

0

We have the sole responsibility for determining land as contaminated, an entry for which is listed on a Public Register held by the Council. Depending on the nature of the contaminants at the site, we may refer a site of concern to the Environment Agency who will then oversee any site investigation and, where required, remediation. There are currently no sites on the Public Register for Derbyshire Dales.
