Bill “Stew”[1] Stewart (b. November 6, 1952 in New Martinsville, West Virginia) is an American football coach and the current head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. On January 2, 2008, he led the Mountaineers to a 48-28 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl as the interim head coach. He was named as the school’s 32nd head football coach on January 3, 2008.[2] He was previously the head coach of Virginia Military Institute for three seasons.
