Who is the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)?
We are a mainline Protestant denomination with 3700 congregations in the United States and Canada. Most Christian Churches, as is true with Southport Christian Church, has represented in its membership people from a variety of Christian expressions. Often Disciple congregations serve as a bridge church for couples raised in differing traditions and belief systems that are represented in out congregation embracing the belief that God’s voice is better found in the variety of theological expressions than in a rigid and singular test of faith.
