The Chairperson of a shareholders’ meeting would usually be the chairperson of the board. This person is a director who has been elected by the board to preside over board and shareholder meetings. In the absence of the Chairperson the Chief Executive Officer or President or in their absence a vice-president may be delegated or selected to preside over a shareholders meeting.
