Who is the CEO of Rivers Casino In Pittsburgh?”
The sound of thousands of slot machines jangling inside the new Rivers Casino on the North Shore marked the official opening of Pittsburgh’s first slot parlor today. Years and hundreds of millions of dollars in the making, the new facility opened its doors at noon, after successful test runs on Wednesday and Friday with profits going to local charities. More than 3,500 guests showed up for the Wednesday event and more than twice as many were expected on Friday. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, which monitored the trial runs, gave the casino a clean bill of health. Parking is free today at the Rivers garage even though the Penguins are playing at PNC Park. In the future, the casino will charge $50 for event day parking.
