David Wellington (born 1971) is a contemporary American horror author, best known for his Zombie trilogy Monster Island. David Wellington was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where George Romero shot his classic zombie films. He attended Syracuse University and received an MFA in creative writing from Penn State. He also holds a masters degree in Library Science from the Pratt Institute.
