who is Starhawk trying to get the papacy to apologize to, and for what?
Certainly not Witches, Pagans, Druids, Heathens or any other Pagan religious path! The papacy has already done that! Simply because her path was not named using its modern term, does not mean that the spirit of the apology did not include it. Those of us who refuse to be seen as victims or are enlightened enough to understand that while we can empathize with victims, we, ourselves, are not victims, certainly DO NOT need some religious fundamentalist out in front destroying whatever positive relations we could garner from a more enlightened approach. It is seems obvious in reading anything Starhawk writes that she has some pretty deep rooted gender issues, and this seems more of an attempt to get SOME men to apologize for the actions of ALL men. Her agenda seems more aimed at getting the church to apologize to WOMEN for wrongs it has committed.
