Who is served by the Maryland Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program?
• Maryland’s Family Planning Program serves approximately 78,000 women and men each year at more than 60 clinics operated by local health departments and other public and private, non-profit agencies. No one is denied services because of the inability to pay. The program is partly funded by the federal Title X Family Planning Grant. No federal or state funds are used to pay for or support abortions. • It is estimated that approximately 267,650 women throughout the state are in need of the publicly subsidized family planning services offered by the Maryland Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program.
