Who is sauron?
Sauron is character in J. R. R. Tolkien’s legandarium / Middle-earth stories. He is a Maia (a spirit whose cosmic position could be likened to an angel), who was originally a follower of the Vala Aulë, but who became corrupted and became the servant of the evil Vala Morgoth, until the latter was defeated at the end of the Third Age. From that time on he became an independent “Dark Lord”, an in that function appears in the narratives of the Lord of the Rings and other works of Tolkien.
