Who is responsible for the Smog Check program?

The State of California established the Smog Check program to help clear the air by reducing the amount of pollutants emitted by vehicles. More than half of the smog in our state comes from vehicles. For all Smog Check questions, please call the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1-800-952-5210 or visit the Smog Check Web Site at www.smogcheck.ca.gov.
