Who is responsible for snow removal prior to the roads being dedicated to DelDOT?
No one. Currently, there is no legislation that requires any entity to remove snow in residential subdivisions. However, DelDOT adopted a bill in 1996 that allowed for reimbursing certain eligible organizations up to 75% of their costs for snow removal services within residential developments or communities. Under this bill CCMA is eligible for that reimbursement.
