Who is responsible for snow removal in the community?

0

A. Homeowners, by County Law, are responsible for timely removal of snow on the sidewalks in front of their homes. Removal of snow in the parking pads within each court is also the responsibility of the residents. Howard County is responsible for the snow removal on the streets, including Old Stockbridge Drive and within each of the six courts in Woodland Park. In addition, the Association hires a company to remove snow from the courts and from common area property that is not covered by Howard County or is not the residents responsibility. These areas include sidewalks along Old Stockbridge, walking paths within the community, and common area sidewalks within each court. Residents are asked to not use rock salt or other materials that will damage the concrete within the community and lead to costly repairs.
