Who is responsible for plowing the roads?
Snow removal is the responsibility of the City of Rochester Hills. Streets are plowed in accordance with the City’s Winter Maintenance Policy. Although the map shown here is small, it does reflect that Rain Tree and Firewood are part of the Major Road Plow Route and, as such, will receive priority attention among Brookedale Woods streets. It also reflects that Aquinas and Bellarmine are Primary Residential Plow Routes, and that all remaining streets are City Local Road Plow Routes. At this time, the City’s website makes these and other statements concerning snow removal: The volume of traffic prioritizes plowing of subdivision streets. Subdivision streets will be plowed after the City receives four or more inches of snow. Following a major snowstorm (six or more inches in less than 24 hours) it may take up to four days to plow all subdivision streets.
