Owners are responsible for ensuring their furniture and belongings are moved away from the work area, generally a 4’ circumference around each window. Again, to obtain the more competitive price, we have promised the contractor efficient access to the work. Therefore, Owners should remove all objects off of the wall (e.g., mirrors, pictures, shelves, and window blinds) in the work area. Although the contractor will not break anything on purpose, the contractor is typically not responsible for damages to these items. The contractor is responsible for advising the owners when they will be working around the affected suites and when they will need access to the suites to complete the window installation, which will be accomplished by the 48 hour notice posted on the unit’s door. If an Owner is not capable of moving furniture, special arrangements can be made with the contractor. If the tasks are not that onerous then it is likely there will be no charge.
