Who is responsible for implementing the ISPS Code in the UK ?
Transport Security Division (TRANSEC), part of the Department for Transport (DfT), has overall responsibility for implementing the IMO requirements and will deal primarily with port security. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) will deal with ship security, although responsibility for cruise ship security will remain with TRANSEC.
