Who is responsible for implementing performance management in LEAs?
For centrally employed teachers the LEA has a duty to ensure the performance of centrally employed teachers is reviewed in accordance with the regulations. The Chief Education Officer is responsible for implementing performance management, and for reporting annually to the LEA on the effectiveness of the authority’s performance management system.
