Who is required to report abuse, neglect or exploitation of children to the Department of Health and Human Services?
By law pursuant to 22 M.R.S.A. ยง 4011-A, a number of adult persons acting in their employment capacity, are required to immediately report or cause a report to be made to the Department of Health and Human Services when that person knows or has reasonable cause to suspect that a child has been or is likely to be abused or neglected.
