And to help entice people with information to come forward, Phillips and her husband; have posted a $10,000 reward to help catch those responsible for poisoning her puppies. June Phillips, who is very well known in greyhound circles in Tasmania as the co-ordinator for the Tasmanian Greyhound Adoption Program; was at one stage chairperson of Greyhound Racing Tasmania, and sat on the Greyhound Racing Council of Tasmania Over recent weeks, Phillips has lost two 10 month old pups in two separate incidents. Veterinary opinion is that both dogs were poisoned.
