Who is “Peterson”?
You can his profile on the About Across Cultures page. Brooks Peterson developed the Peterson Cultural Style Indicator in order to fill an important void in the cross-cultural training field. There seemed to be no quick yet meaningful way of taking a snapshot of a person’s cultural style. Peterson’s goal was to develop a tool that was 1) solidly constructed and grounded in meaningful content, yet 2) clear and simple so the average professional can make sense of it, and 3) accessible to a wide audience (over the Internet, which was just emerging into popular use in 1994).
