The secured party is responsible for filing a termination statement or providing the debtor with a termination statement to be filed pursuant to section 4-9-513, C.R.S. If a secured party fails to file a termination statement for a UCC record, the debtor may file the termination statement, pursuant to section 4-9-509, C.R.S.
