Connecting and Testing the gadgets Connecting the headset Normally, the headset cable has two jacks -one green in color and the other pink in color (or the jacks will have rings with these colors on it). The green jack is usually for the earphone and the pink jack is that of the microphone. The green jack should be connected to the green port of the computer and the pink one should be connected to the pink port. Some of the headsets will have the images of an earphone and a microphone on each of the jacks and you can connect these respective jacks to the respective ports on the computer.
