The purpose of the PA Section of ACOG is to coordinate the efforts of ob-gyns in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to secure and maintain the best patient care and the highest standard of practice in obstetrics and gynecology. This is principally accomplished through study of the scientific, socioeconomic and legislative aspects of the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. The PA Section of ACOG also aims to educate the public concerning the type of service rendered by ob-gyns. There are currently over 1,800 Section members who are classified as either fellow, junior fellow in practice, junior fellow in residency or retired.
