Who is Paul Ricard?
Paul Ricard invented Ricard, the pastis from Marseilles. He created it in 1932, at the age of 23, and gave it his name. In 1939, he founded the Ricard company, developed a pioneering labour-relations policy and became a forerunner of global communication, lifting his brand to the rank of world leader in anise-based drinks. A man of vision and a humanist, he was also one of the first to introduce corporate sponsorship.
