Kathy Yelton of Chipotle Chicks will offer a food tasting of Kentucky Chipotle Sauce and Hot Pepper Jelly from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea. Growing up in Northern Kentucky, Yelton’s mother was a gardener who loved growing tomatoes. When Kathy and her husband built a house and settled on a farm in Pendleton County near Falmouth, she began to grow foods in her own garden – with a special focus on tomatoes and peppers. She bought herself a smoker and began to experiment smoking and drying different vegetables from her garden.
