Who is not eligible for FAMIS?
Children are NOT eligible for FAMIS if: • They are currently covered by FAMIS Plus, • Their parent or guardian is employed by a public agency and is eligible for State Employee Health Insurance, • They are inmates of a public institution or inpatients in an institution for mental illness, or • They have dropped insurance coverage without “good cause” during the four months prior to FAMIS application.
