WHO IS NOLAN BUSHNELL?
Nolan Bushnell qualifies for the title of “Father of Arcade Video Games”. He built an arcade game (Computer Space) in 1969 which used a raster-scan TV monitor display. The game was not a success. Bushnell left Nutting Associates to found Atari, which then produced Pong, the first truly successful commercial arcade video game. He was the first to take a license under Ralph Baer’s patents in the 70’s. Nolan Bushnell developed PONG after he played a ping-pong game on an Odyssey 1TL200 at a L.A. Magnavox dealership demo in May of 1972. Courtesy of Shagmail Who Owns What? In my free time, I am playing Deus Ex. It came bundled with the video card and it is excellent. Read about it here.
