Kazantzakis moved to Paris in 1908 where he began to study under Henri Bergson a philosopher whose work emphasized intuition and experience rather than logic. Under Bergson, Kazantzakis studied Nietzsche, from who he absorbed about the struggle inherent in life. Here are some of his major works: 1- Zorba the Greek 2- The Last Temptation 3- Freedom and Death 4- The Greek Passion (Christ Recrucified) 5- The Odyssey: A Modern Sequel (I want this book guys!!) 6- Saviors of God 7- The Fratricides (This one is about the Greek civil war) 8- Report to Greco (His spiritual autobiography) He died on October 26, 1957, of the Asiatic flue.
