Once you have been selected for funding you will receive an invitation to start the granting process, which is the process for preparing the Grant Agreement between the University and the EC/ERC. The EC will prepare the Grant Agreement which the University (through its legal representatives at the Research Office) will sign on your behalf. There is no real negotiation for ERC Grants. You will however have some scope to make some reasonable changes to your application.
