Who is Motor Racing Outreach?
Motor Racing Outreach is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1988 and based in Concord, NC (http://www.go2mro.com). MRO serves as an interdenominational, Christian mobile ministry operation whose mission is to raise awareness of the word of God amongst the racing community, particularly the NASCAR Nextel Cup series. MRO staffers travel the racing circuit, providing spiritual support to the professional racers, crew teams, team owners, and their families. MRO is a high-profile organization whose representatives are very active in the sport of motor racing. MRO has been featured on Speed TV, as well as in various trade magazines and major newspapers. Perhaps MRO’s greatest exposure comes from the national TV stations that broadcast NASCAR races. Representatives of MRO periodically deliver the invocation address at the commencement ceremony for many NASCAR races.
