Who is more inclined to be controlling: men or women?
It depends on the circumstances. Obviously men tend to be more initiative and comfortable when it comes to controlling, but when a woman is in a position of power, I think her insecurities tend to make her even more controlling than a man. The reason for this is because honestly, it’s not as easy for a female in power to gain respect like males do and she’ll often test her authority to ensure that no one will try to leak through her “b*tch shield” as we guys like to call it. It’s sort of a coping method, I suppose. Men are usually comfortable with power and don’t feel the need to constantly demonstrate it, not to mention, males are by default, more likely to be respected. Of course this is a pretty wide generalization and obviously there’s going to be exceptions every once in a while, but I’ve heard way too many stories about how catty female bosses are compared to the cool and layed back male bosses.
