Who is more capable of learning…children or adults?
A child is far more capable of learning, and I believe the reason is they do not have any preconceived ideas that they can not learn some thing. It is only when we as adults tell them they are to young to do some thing that we give the barriers, I would give you an example. I lived in a home where the language was Portuguese. The parents did not speak or understand English, they had a 6 year old daughter that was fluent in both English and Portuguese. She was the translator for the house hold. I asked her aunt why she was the only one who spoke English. Her parents were convinced that they couldn’t learn English so they had friends family and the public school system teach their daughter so they would not be totally isolated They lived in Canada for 8 years and then returned to Portugal never having to learn the language.There are many instances of children on their own taking apart a piece of equipment just to so what made it go. the rule in our house was” you take it apart you have t
