Who is Miguel?
Miguel Irizarry is a teenage Puerto Rican artist with a life-threatening illness. He is a gifted and beautiful human being and we would like to make sure that he receives the medical care that he needs to be able to lead a healthy and normal life. Miguelito needs your help. Miguel suffers from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and many other physiological disorders. He has had 4 surgical procedures in the last 2 years, some of them to place tubes to his digestive system so he does not starve to death. This has been his only means of nourishment for over two years.Miguel arrived with this mother in Miami during the first week of April 2003, after his doctors in Puerto Rico told his mother that the medical care he could receive in Miami was his only hope.
