Who is Michael the archangel?
He is exactly who the Bible says he is – the archangel (in the book of Daniel, he is overseeing the welfare of Israel). As all God’s angels worship the Son of God (as per Hebrews chapter 1) Michael leads the worship in heaven. He, along with all the heavenly creatures, bow before the throne of God in heaven, worshipping God and the Lamb, who is at the centre of God’s throne. All created beings ought to worship their Creator, which is why the Lamb receives heaven’s worship, for he is their Creator. This alone proves that the Lamb of God cannot be the created archangel, Michael.
