Who is Matthew Morrison?
Most people know Matthew Morrison for his current role in the hit TV show Glee for his portrayal of Will Schuester, the earnest and energetic glee-club director. In his role, Morrison takes a motley group of socially awkward teens under his wing and teaches them important life lessons through song and dance.
Prior to his mainstream Glee popularity, Morrison built his career in musical theater. His big break came when he nabbed the role of Link Larkin in the Broadway production of Hairspray. Simultaneously he guest starred on a couple TV shows like Sex and the City and Ghost Whisperer. His most recent Broadway stage role was portraying Lt. Cable in the South Pacific.
According to an interview with Morrison in the Los Angeles Times’ Parade, Morrison said that his teacher portrayal on Glee is a job that he could have easily done in real life and enjoyed doing.
