Who is Lone Star Hobbies?
Lone Star Hobbies is a company based in Cypress, TX which is on the Northwest corner of Houston. The company was created in 2007 by Wayne Evans and Dean McCarty. We started the company out of necessity. Being old school pan car racers, we felt foam tires would work much better on RC18R’s than rubber, and at the time nobody was making foam tires for the 18R. We had the means to make tires so we did. Soon all the local racers began asking us to make tires for them. Lone Star Hobbies was born.
