Who is Jonny Lang?
Gospel, blues and R&B/rock singer Jonny Lang was born in 1981 in Fargo, North Dakota. Lang became a professional musician at the ripe old age of 12 when he started taking guitar lessons from Ted Larsen, the guitar player for Bad Medicine Blues Band. Jonny quickly became the lead of the band which renamed itself Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang. Jonny is not the only musical member of the Langseth/Lang family as his younger sister Jesse Langseth is also a singer and was a semifinalist in the 8th season of American Idol Jonny Lang Signs to A&M at Age 15 At age 15 Lang was signed to A&M Records in 1996. In 1997, he released the multi-platinum Lie to Me and Wander This World was released in 1998, earning Lang his first Grammy nomination.
