Who is John Whitman?
Coach Whitman is nationally and internationally recognized in the sport of baseball. Grinders Baseball is your chance to be coached by one of the best in the industry! Coach Whitman’s first rate instruction will share over 35 years of coaching experience with you. John Whitman has coached since 1974 which included Salesian and Antioch High Schools, Los Medanos JC, and at the University of Santa Clara, in California. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal-State University, and is a Post Graduate from St. Mary’s College, CA. Most recently, in 2003, John coached a USSSA 13 & under (competing at 14U) Baseball Travel Team, that took 3rd at Nationals and compiled an amazing 61-6 record! On top of successfully coaching many top athletes, John’s former high school teams won the North Coast Section title 3 times and also won the California State Title twice.
