Who is Japanese favorite actress in U.S.A?
What do you mean with favourite actress? Are you implying as the “most popular Japanese actress”? Coz the word “favourite” is very individual. It depends on who you’re asking. What one says as his/her fave may not be the same with the person sitting next to him/her. Anyway, regarding Japanese actresses, sorry but I don’t think most Americans are familiar with Japanese celebrities. They usually just group them all into one big category: ASIAN. Now, most Americans may have already known Asian artists like Gong Li or Zhang Ziyi or Jackie Chan but they’re not exactly Japanese. For a specific Japanese actress, so far it could probably be Rinko Kikuchi mainly because she received a lot of exposure and publicity for her Oscar-nominated performance in Babel. Other Japanese actors (NOT actresses) that are quite famous in the US are Ken Watanabe and Pat Morita.
