Who is Indra Nooyi?
She is the chairwoman and CEO of PepsiCo. Fortune magazine has named Nooyi number one on their "Most Powerful Women in business" list since 2006. She was also named one of America’s Best Leaders by the U.S. News & World Report in 2008.
Nooyi succeeded Steven Reinemund as CEO of PepsiCo in 2006. Business officials constantly marvel over her ability to work hard and drive deep while maintaining heart and a sense of fun. According to BusinessWeek, since she started with PepsiCo in 2000 as the CFO, the company’s annual revenues have risen 72%.

She helped to start PepsiCo’s fast-food chains in 1997. indra graduated from the Madars Christian College and did her PG from IIM, Kolkata. Later she furthered her education at the Yale University. She started her career with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), moving on to companies like Motorola and Asea Brown Boveri.She serves on the board of directors of several organizations. In August 2006, she succeeded Steve Reinemund as chief executive officer of PepsiCo. She has been named the Most Powerful Woman in Business in 2006 by Fortune Magazine. Her name was included in the Wall Street Journal’s list of 50 women to watch in 2005. And recently, Indra has been included in the Forbes list of boardroom power women for 2008. Way to go, ladies!!!
