Who is incharge of Volunteer Supervision?
Volunteers are supervised by volunteer and paid leadership in the department where they serve. Occasionally while on assignment or at an event another member of the team may be in charge of supervision. YOUTH VOLUNTEERS: The Youth Team is supervised by the Volunteer Manager and adult volunteers. The adults provide supervision, leadership, and set examples for all Youth members. Back to the Top 10. What opportunities are there for advancement? There are plenty of opportunities for a volunteer who is interested in becoming more involved with the Red Cross. Besides the possibility of serving in more than one volunteer program, there are opportunities for leadership and more advanced trainings. Back to the Top 11. Are there any training requirements? All positions with the Red Cross require some type of training. Depending on the program area with which one volunteers, basic courses may be required. Any necessary training is offered at the Chapter with minimal or no cost to the volunteer.
