Who is in charge of training new volunteers in the hospice?
In the hospice setting, there is usually a team of people in charge of the volunteers and their training. The Hospice Association of Ontario’s Visiting Volunteer Training Manual has a Volunteer Training Committee that includes various positions of Program Coordinators, Program Directors, Executive Directors, and Executive Assistants. There is also a collective effort by the Hospice Association of Ontario and other independent hospices to create and update volunteer training manuals that assist in training volunteers.
