Who is in charge of my child’s care and how is the care team organized?
The coordinating pediatrician for each child’s unit is in charge of an interdisciplinary team with nurse practitioners, nursing, rehabilitation medicine, psychology, therapists, educators, social workers, child life specialists, and other pediatric medical sub-specialists. Together, the team develops an individualized care plan that identifies goals, tracks progress, and plans discharge.
