Who is Huckleberry?
Huckleberry has been in the kitchen since he was 8 years old, watching, cooking and learning cooking secrets from his Grandmother, Mother, and Father who himself was a Master Chef for a famous eating establishment in Ocean City MD for many years. Huck combines his U.S, Navy cooking experience, with his time in the kitchen learning from his family along with his Eastern Shore, Chesapeake Bay and Texas barbecue culinary experiences to bring you what he feels are the most flavorful, bold essence spice blends and rubs around. Huck now lives in Cypress, TX, and cooks on several award winning Texas Barbecue Cooking teams. Huck’s, Isaacs Brisket Rub, has won First place Brisket, Chicken, and Ribs in local Texas Barbecue competitions. Sassi’s Pig Rub scored within the top 100 out of 300 competitors in the 2006 Houston Livestock Rodeo, World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest.
