It will be the same people that pay the piper for the massive salaries and bonuses paid to the executives who got us into the entire mess by their lack of understanding and pricing of risk into their now-worthless investments. IE the taxpayer. Though the “ex post facto” concept of our legal system makes sense in most cases, unforuntely in this case, it will alow the jokers who got fat on everyone else’s dime (then jumped ship before it dragged all of us down) to live happy confortable lives of luxury. Yet some people feel it is wise to protect these people who got super rich by their irresposnibility from increased taxes because of the concept of the trickle down effect (rich people should have low taxes because then they can invest). Whatever the case, it is a broken system right now that needs to be fixed. And the plethora of MBA grads who flooded the market are likely to have been indoctrinated by models leaning more to get-rich-quick without-creating-any-true-value type complex der
